“Jane, thought he was her prince charming. Jack & Jane had being dating for over six months & she was absolutely enjoying every moment of it. The dates where great and everything looked promising, when suddenly, Jack started getting less interested, in what she thought they shared, as a special relationship. Skipping dates & rarely calling, Jane became confused about Jack’s intentions.
As Jack kept his distance from Jane, Jane began plotting ways to get back his attention. His disinterest in her was worrisome for Jane because this was the longest relationship she had ever sustained. Was she so appauling to men? was her life and life’s values that complicated? She had considered him to be hers forever since their very first date at the Church retreat; and sincerely, she thought He was the one she was waiting for. But this new attitude of Jack was running crosswise her imagination & a few attempt to get Jack to voice his reservations ended in a not too subtle request for sex.
Feeling pressured & desperate, Jane gave in, with hopes of being able to convince him of her eternal Love for him. But two months down the line, while at an office party, a card fell off the purse of a colleague. Quickly reaching for the card, she picked it up to hand it over to her co-worker, but found it to be an invitation to a pre-wedding party for Jack & Sharon. “What?” “How do you know this couple?” She immediately demanded from her colleague. “Well, Sharon is my bestie, & how do you know them?” came the quizzical retort.
Ashamed, Jane stormed out of the party, got in her car & drove off in a rage, but unfortunately she Never reached her destination…….
Shame and Rage filled her soul that night, that she unknowingly ran headlong into an on-coming truck and lost consciousness for the next 2months. Jack married his high school sweetheart Sharon, but He couldn’t forgive himself for Jane’s plight, this would go on to strain his marriage, just as Jane kept falling into the abyss of depression and had long years of therapy & inner healing ahead of her…….”
Choices have consequences & Compromise against the Truth of God’s Word, would Always lead to a Lose of the very thing you seek to keep. Allowing Christ’s Light guide us in our daily choices is the only guarantee to a life of fulfilment.
Proverbs 4:13 (KJV) “Take fast hold of instruction; let her not go: keep her; for she is thy life.“
1 Thessalonians 5:21 (KJV) “Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.”
When you honour God’s word and make it the first and final authority in your life, it protects your very life and it shields you from wrong choices that may become reoccurring decimals in your life.
